Northwest Missouri State University President Dr. John Jasinski will serve as the moderator of an open forum at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts to discuss social justice issues, including diversity, equity and inclusion.
The forum, which is open to all Northwest students, employees and community members, will consist of a panel discussion involving students, faculty and staff members as well as a question-answer session.
“The goal is to address issues with respect to social justice and in relation to college and campus communities and, specifically, Northwest,” Jasinski said. “In a respectful, open and honest manner, we wish to create awareness and educate about where we need to head as a University and community.”
The event is organized by Northwest student leaders with support from the Office of the President and the Office of Student Affairs.
