The Northwest Missouri State University Alumni Association has appointed three members to its Board of Directors, which works to foster lifelong relationships through initiatives and opportunities that advance the University and its alumni, future alumni and friends.
Randy Cody, a 1999 alumnus; Dustin Wasson, a 2003 alumnus; and Allison Kreifels an alumna of 2006 and 2011; joined the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors, effective Sept. 25.
“Each new director is selected based on their service and passion in making the Northwest Alumni Association stronger,” Bob Machovsky, Northwest’s director of alumni relations and annual gifts, said. “Allison, Dustin and Randy make a great addition to our dedicated and diverse group of directors as we continue to build upon our platform of connecting, mentoring and promoting all things Northwest to our alumni and friends.”
Randy Cody has accumulated 15 years of banking experience, representing Rolling Hills Bank and Trust in Carson, Iowa, as branch manager since 2003. He has served as president of the Alumni Association’s Nebraska/Western Iowa Chapter. During his time at Northwest, Cody was involved with campus ministry at the Wesley Student Center. He received his bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from Northwest in 1999.
Allison Kreifels is the Family and Consumer Career Field Specialist and the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) state adviser for the Nebraska Department of Education since 2014. Previously, she taught family and consumer sciences in Wahoo, Neb., and Lathrop, Mo. At Northwest, Kreifels was a resident assistant and a member of Sigma Society, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, and Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society. She received her bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences in 2006 and her master’s degree in secondary school administration in 2011.
Dustin Wasson serves as the mayor for Perry, Mo. He has worked for Avery's Floor Mats for 10 years and is the operations and facilities manager. He also is the information technology director for Guardian Products Inc. Wasson served as the president of the Mid-Missouri Alumni Chapter. He was involved with KZLX and KDLX while attending Northwest and received his bachelor’s degree in broadcasting in 2003.
Linda Place, a 1972 and 2009 alumna, serves as president of the Alumni Association, and the Paula Rector Davis, a 1991 alumna, is vice president. The 2015-2016 Alumni Association Board of Directors consists of 18 members.
Northwest alumni stay connected with Northwest through 20 alumni chapters throughout the United States and the world. Chapters are located in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska, as well as the metropolitan areas of Chicago, Washington D.C., Dallas and the Twin Cities as well as an international chapter in Japan.
