Sept. 2, 2015
As the Bearcat football program prepares to open its 2015 home season Thursday, Sept. 10, Northwest Missouri State University reminds fans of its policies to enhance the game day atmosphere and the safety fans enjoy at Bearcat Stadium.
Information about game day policies at Bearcat Stadium is provided below. For more details, updates and frequently asked questions, visit www.bearcatsports.com or contact University Police at 660.562.1254 or email@example.com.
Tailgating may begin five hours prior to kickoff. All tailgating activities, including the consumption of alcohol must cease at kickoff. Tailgating lots 60, 62 and 63 have been redesigned to provide additional safety considerations as well as enhance the tailgating experience.
Alcohol is permitted only in parking lots 60, 62 and 63 near College Park; possession or consumption of alcohol is not allowed in College Park. Kegs and glass containers are not allowed. To see all Northwest tailgating policies, click here.
Fans are invited to join the Hy-Vee Bearcat Zone, beginning two hours prior to kickoff, at the Raymond J. Courter College Park Pavilion. The Bearcat Zone features performances by the Bearcat Marching Band, Northwest Cheerleaders and the Bearcat Steppers. A traditional tailgate meal also is available for purchase.
Ticket booths, located on the southeast corner and west side of Bearcat Stadium, open 2½ hours prior to kickoff and stay open until the start of the third quarter. Stadium gates, located on the southeast corner and northwest corner of Bearcat Stadium, opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff for stadium entry. The Bank Midwest entrance, designated for suite holders and credentialed media personnel only, also opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
Fans who leave Bearcat Stadium and want to return must use an un-scanned ticket and be subject to another security screening. Northwest’s re-entry policy is prevention-based to enhance fan safety and align with best practices established throughout professional and intercollegiate athletics.
All fans bringing purses or bags into Bearcat Stadium must pass through a screening process outside Bearcat Stadium gates before passing through the ticket area. For a complete review of stadium polices, including a list of allowed and prohibited items, click here.
Fans with specific needs or requiring medical assistance are encouraged to visit either of the Guest Services stations, located near the southeast ticket windows and inside the Bank Midwest entrance, under the west grandstand of the stadium.
The opening of Guest Services coincides with the opening of Bearcat Stadium 90 minutes prior to kickoff, and each location remains open through the completion of the game.
To provide an environment that is safe and healthy for all students, employees and visitors to Northwest, smoking is prohibited throughout the Northwest campus, including all areas of Bearcat Stadium. “Smoking” is defined as the use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes and all other forms of smoke-generating products.
