Local author to read, sign books Saturday at Northwest

Local author Jack Jones Jr. will visit Northwest Missouri State University Saturday, Jan. 31, for a reading and to sign copies of his children’s books.

The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 10 a.m. at Novel Grounds, located on the first floor of the B.D. Owens Library. The event is sponsored by the Bearcat Bookstore.

In addition to being employed as the general manager and chief executive officer of IAMO Telephone Company in Burlington Junction, Jones is the author of “Rusty’s Life,” a true children’s story told through the eyes of his owner. Recently, Jones completed a second book, “Marriah's Easter Egg Hunt.” He resides in Maryville.
