Town named life member by Cambridge University graduate college

Dr. Stephen Town, professor of music at Northwest Missouri State University, was recently confirmed a life member of Clare Hall Cambridge University by its governing body.

As a life member Town may return to Clare Hall Cambridge, located in the United Kingdom, at any time. Life members have access to daily informal lunches and weekly formal banquets as well as rooming privileges at Clare Hall. Additionally, these individuals enjoy reading and research privileges at the university library and entrance into other Cambridge University colleges to participate in intellectual and social environments. 

Town was a Visiting Research Fellow at Clare Hall, a graduate college in the University of Cambridge, during its 2014 spring semester and recently completed a draft of his second book, “The Selected Choral-Orchestral Works of Ralph Vaughan Williams: Autographs, Context, Discourse” as the result of his research at the university.

Town joined the Northwest faculty in 1986 and conducts the University’s Tower Choir.
