Agricultural business student wins fall internship photo contest

Jacob Kaullen, a senior agricultural business major from Lexington, Mo., is the winner of the Fall 2014 Internship Photo Contest sponsored by Northwest Missouri State University Career Services.

Kaullen interned at Maryville-based Kurtz Rural Aviation and received a $100 Visa card for his winning entry. During the internship, Kaullen assisted farmers with their fertilizer and fungicide needs.

Kaullen’s winning photo below depicts him on the wing of an airplane at Northwest Missouri Regional Airport while he fills the plane’s hopper with fertilizer to be spread on early-stage corn at a local farm.

Each trimester, Northwest students have the opportunity to share their internships, practicums, field experiences and directed teaching experiences through a photo contest sponsored by Career Services.

Entries must consist of a photo that includes the student, a photo caption, and a description of no more than 300 words that demonstrates the student’s writing skills and briefly describes his or her experience. Students must be enrolled at Northwest to participate.

To upload a photo or view photos submitted during previous photo contests, visit the Career Services website.
