Dr. Linda Sterling, associate professor of psychology at Northwest Missouri State University, presented a poster session at the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) conference Oct. 15-18 in Las Vegas with Seth Hudson, a senior biology-psychology major from Clarinda, Iowa.
Hudson and Sterling’s poster presentation demonstrated the role of exercise psychology in a cross-fit kid’s program. Sterling was also invited to give a panel presentation at the conference about careers and exercise psychology.
Sterling joined the Northwest faculty in 2007 and is a certified sport psychology consultant. She teaches sport psychology, research classes and school counseling graduate courses. Her academic interests include athletic career termination, professional sports career aspirations and exercise adherence.
