A new smartphone application available to the Northwest Missouri State University community provides greater on-the-go access to information about the University while allowing students and employees of the University use CatPAWS on their mobile devices.
The Northwest Mobile App gives students easy access to grades, academic holds and class schedules. In addition, the app includes a campus map with locations and descriptions of buildings.
Other features of the app include links to campus news, important campus phone numbers, events and links to Northwest’s official social media accounts.
To download the app, search for “Northwest Mobile App” in the iPhone or Google app stores.
In addition to the new Northwest Mobile App, Northwest offers several other free mobile applications specific to students, employees and visitors. Scroll down for more details and search for these apps in the iPhone or Google app stores.
In Case of Crisis gives students and employees instant access to Northwest emergency plans so they know what to do when a crisis strikes. The app features information categorized by scenarios and offers actions to take in cases of fire, severe weather, evacuation and workplace violence, among other situations.
The plans are customized for emergency events at Northwest and are accessible anytime, anywhere. Emergency phone contacts and helpful online resources also are included in the app.
The Owens Library app enables users to search the Northwest library’s catalog and manage personal accounts. Users can search the library’s catalog by keyword and scroll through entries showing titles, publishers, authors and availability. Users also have the ability to reserve and renew items through their personal accounts while using the app.
YouVisit allows prospective students and visitors to explore Northwest’s campus from afar and learn about its programs, culture and athletics teams through a virtual tour. The interactive student guide accompanies user through a GPS-enabled campus map, student videos and photos.

Northwest Online users can access their course content from their mobile devices by visiting a mobile-friendly version of the website at nwmissouri.edu/online.
