Northwest Missouri State University has announced the addition of Allen Mays Jr. to its Facility Services team. Mays has joined the University as its capital program manager.
In his new role at Northwest, Mays will oversee the University’s Capital Program division, which is responsible for the management and execution of in-house construction, renovation and energy projects on the campus.
Mays comes to Northwest from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where he served as director of campus facilities. In that role, he was responsible for the administration of in-house and external operations, property management, capital planning, facility design and construction, power plant, controlled maintenance and capital construction projects.
Mays’ professional experience also includes roles as assistant vice president for campus facilities at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill., and project manager and architectural technical specialist III with the state of Illinois Capital Development Board.
Mays is a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in advanced technical studies in architecture.
