Northwest Missouri State University’s Student Activities Council has announced that comedians Andrew Schulz, Nicole Byer and Chris Distefano of MTV’s “Guy Code” and “Girl Code” will appear in SAC’s spring comedy show.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, at the Charles Johnson Theater, located in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building. The event is free and open to the public.
“We chose to bring these particular comedians to campus because their material is relative to college life, and students can relate,” said Jake Rosenquist, director of entertainment for SAC. “We expect students to get the chance to interact with the comedians and possibly bring up some questions they may have. It is also a good chance to see some cast members of an MTV show.”
Byer replaces Jamie Lee who was initially scheduled to appear at Northwest but had to cancel.

Andrew Schulz is a New York native who regularly performs as a fixture in the city’s comedy circuit. Nicole Byer is one of comedy’s fastest rising stars. As a breakout of MTV’s hit show, “Girl Code,” she holds more than 166,000 Twitter followers and regularly appears all over the network. She has previously appeared on MTV’s “Failosophy” as well as NBC’s “30 Rock” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” She also performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles and New York.
Chris Distefano is a New York native who has worked at all of the top comedy clubs across the city. In 2010, he hosted the Fencing Masters on the SNY network, and he advanced to the Elite 8 of the 2011 and 2012 March Madness Comedy Competition at the world famous Carolines on Broadway. Distefano was also selected to headline Carolines’ Breakout Artist Series and was a finalist in the 2011 New York Comedy Festival. He has appeared on MTV2’s “Guy Code” and “Guy Court” as well as MTV’s “Girl Code.”
