Planning underway for 2014 Homecoming, committee seeks input

The Homecoming committee is beginning preparations for Northwest Missouri State University’s 2014 Homecoming week and is seeking students’ input.

The committee had its first meeting Feb. 23 and is seeking applications for co-chair and committee member positions. Any student or student organization interested in being involved in the planning process is encouraged to apply. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, and are available by clicking here.

The Homecoming committee meets at 6 p.m. each Sunday in Colden Hall 3500 throughout the spring trimester.

Homecoming 2014 events are set for the week of Oct. 12-18 and will include Walkout Day on Friday, Oct. 17, as well as the Homecoming football game Saturday, Oct. 18, against Pittsburg State. The week is annually filled with activities for students, employees, alumni and friends including athletic contests, philanthropy events, reunions, the Homecoming Variety Show and the Homecoming parade.
