AdInk, an advertising club of Northwest Missouri State University students, sponsored its 14th annual Off-Broadway Advertising Tour Feb. 6, providing students with an opportunity to visit and network with Kansas City agencies and advertising professionals.
Forty-five students participated and visited firms such as VML, Barkley, Sullivan Higdon & Sink, Meers Advertising and Hallmark, among others. The students also gathered for a lunch at the Town Pavilion with Jeremy Ragonese, director of marketing at Boulevard Brewing Company.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions and network with actual professionals in the advertising business, as well as see the inter-workings of firms. The trip ended with a visit to Hallmark, where students met Bearcat alumni and learned about career opportunities at the renowned greeting card and gift producer.
AdInk is a Northwest organization for students interested in advertising-related careers. The club is open to all majors and offers a variety of events and services throughout the academic year.
