Cash prizes are at stake for students attending the Northwest Missouri State University women’s and men’s basketball games against University of Central Missouri this weekend. The women tip off at 1:30 p.m. and the men at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in Bearcat Arena.
The “Pack the Stands” initiative is sponsored by the Northwest chapter of the American Marketing Association.
“We really want to bring Northwest students and the surrounding community together to show their school spirit and support for the Bearcats,” said Kelli Stoner, AMA social media chair.
A $150 cash prize will be awarded to the team or organization that attends both games and shows the most spirit and energy. Signs and props are welcome.
A $50 cash prize will be awarded to a second-place team or organization.
Student tickets are free and may be picked up in the lobby of the Lamkin Activity Center before the game.
