Northwest Missouri State University learned today of the passing of one of its students. Christina Worsfold, a 23-year-old graduate student from Papillion, Neb., died of natural causes.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Road, in Omaha, Neb. Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2617 S. 31st St., Omaha, followed by a 10 a.m. mass of Christian burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family.
Worsfold received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northwest in the spring and was a graduate assistant in Northwest’s Teacher Education Student Services office.
Counseling is available at Personal Development and Counseling Services in the Wellness Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday. Individuals needing assistance outside of these hours are encouraged to contact University Police at 660.562.1254. Additionally, the campus community is invited to a gathering for support at 4 p.m. Thursday in the J.W. Jones Student Union Living Room.
Further information regarding funeral services will be released as it becomes available.
