Residence halls to remain open for students attending semifinal playoff game

Northwest Missouri State University will accommodate its on-campus residents who want to attend Saturday’s Division II semifinal football game and allow those students to stay in their residence halls through Sunday morning.

Northwest residence halls will close as scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, for students departing for winter break. However, residence halls will close at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, for students staying for the football game.

Students staying for the football game only should sign up at their residence hall front desk starting at noon Tuesday. Students will not be charged to stay in their room Friday or Saturday night.

Student fobs will work until 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 15. After this time, all students should have departed unless they have signed up for regular break housing.

All rooms that do not have a student signed up for extended football game housing will have their standard, cursory inspection after 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, as part of the normal closing process.
