Northwest crowns 2013 Homecoming king, queen

Northwest Missouri State University crowned Lucas Clark and Bailey Hoerning as its 2013 Homecoming king and queen Thursday, Oct. 24, during opening night of the University’s annual Homecoming Variety Show.

Clark is a senior organizational communication major from Odessa, Mo. He serves as public relations co-chair for Student Senate and director of lecture programming for the Student Activities Council. He also is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and he is a Student Ambassador.

Hoerning is a senior elementary and K-12 special education major from Omaha, Neb. She is president of Sigma Sigma Sigma and a SOAR leader. She also is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, Sign Language Club, Up ‘til Dawn and Blue Key Honor Society.

Northwest students selected the king and queen during a week of online voting Oct. 14-18.

This year's Homecoming princess is Ellie Parsons, who is the daughter of Tye and Vanessa Parsons. The Homecoming prince is Eli Jacobson, who is the son of Larry and Cris Jacobson.

Northwest continues its Homecoming week activities, “Rolling out the ‘90s,” through Sunday, Oct. 27. Events are open to all Northwest students, employees, alumni, families, friends and community members. For a complete schedule of Homecoming 2013 activities and events, click here.
