Northwest Missouri State University’s Student Senate is sponsoring a three-day blood drive in cooperation with the Community Blood Center to boost blood supplies in northwest Missouri.
The blood drive will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, through Thursday, April 11, in the Tower View Dining Room located on the third floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union. Donors will be entered in a gift card drawing.
Interested donors may sign up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, April 8, on the first floor of the Student Union, or online by clicking here and entering the code NWMSU.
Student Senate blood drives are coordinated with the Community Blood Center, which is the sole supplier of St. Francis Hospital in Maryville. It is estimated three lives are saved with every unit collected.
The Student Senate’s fall blood drive collected a record 268 units of blood. That total broke Northwest’s previous record set during a 2010 Student Senate blood drive, which also earned the Community Blood Center’s Largest Blood Drive Award.
