Northwest Missouri State University’s annual Student Juried Art Exhibition opens Monday, March 18, and continues through Monday, April 29, in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Gallery.

The exhibit’s guest juror, Beth Nybeck, has chosen the artwork included in the exhibit. All undergraduate studio art students were invited to enter up to three works for consideration.

Nybeck will give a lecture to commemorate the exhibit’s opening at 7 p.m., Monday, March 18, in the Charles Johnson Theater at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building. Awards for the exhibition will be announced in conjunction with the opening lecture.

Nybeck is a Kansas City-based sculptor. For more information about Nybeck and her work, visit http://www.bethnybeck.com/.

The competitively juried exhibit includes ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, printmaking, photography, graphic design and illustration, fiber arts, painting and drawing. The exhibit is an opportunity for Northwest art students to explore and celebrate their accomplishments throughout the academic year.

The Olive DeLuce Art Gallery is open 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays, 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
