The Writing Center at Northwest Missouri State University has announced addition hours to assist students as well as University employees.
The Writing Center, which is located on the second floor of the B.D. Owens Library, will now open with limited appointments on the first Wednesday of every trimester, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16, and will remain open with full staffing through the last day of classes Friday, April 26. This is a full two weeks earlier than the Writing Center opened in the past and provides an extra week with the center’s entire staff working regular schedules at the end of term.
Additionally, in response to popular demand, the Writing Center will begin offering evening hours on Thursdays and Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m. These hours will start Thursday, Jan. 24, and Sunday, Jan. 27, respectively.
The Writing Center staff is considering additional evening hours and encourages Northwest students and employees to contact the center to recommend other times the staff can serve their writing needs.
The Writing Center’s regular hours now are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Sunday. The Writing Center may be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or 660.562.1480.
