Northwest students invited to participate in Alternative Weekend
Northwest Missouri State University students are invited to participate in a volunteer opportunity that will take them to serve underprivileged youth and homeless individuals in the Kansas City area
The Office of Volunteer, Service Learning and Civic Engagement and the Office of Intercultural Affairs are partnering to sponsor the “Alternative Weekend” volunteer trip Saturday, Dec. 8.
Transportation will be provided and leave Northwest at about 9 a.m. Students will return that evening.
Volunteers will work with youth at a community center before traveling to a mission, where they will serve meals to individuals in need.
Individuals interested in participating should sign up by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5. The registration form may be found on the right side of the Intercultural International Center (IIC) homepage or by clicking here. About 45 spots are available.
