The Northwest Missouri State University and Maryville communities are invited to learn about a variety of campus and community resources available to promote healthy living as the University hosts its second annual wellness fair this week.
Northwest will host the nutrition and wellness fair, “Overall Wellness: Your Passport for Life” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the J.W. Jones Student Union Ballroom. It is free and open to the public.
The wellness fair will focus on the six dimensions of wellness – physical, social, intellectual, occupational, emotional and spiritual wellness – and offer information about nutrition and healthy living as well as various campus and community resources. Bone density scans and blood pressure checks will be available throughout the event, and cooking demonstrations are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
