Rose Viau elected president of MoCPA board
Rose Viau, director of residential life at Northwest Missouri State University, has been elected president of Missouri College Personnel Association (MoCPA) and will succeed one of her Northwest colleagues in 2013-2014.
Viau who served as the board’s secretary during the current school year, will serve the board as president-elect for 2012-2013. She will be the fifth staff person from Northwest to hold the top office in MoCPA.
Scott Shields, coordinator of residential life operations at Northwest, will serve as the 36th president of the association during the upcoming school year.
MoCPA is an association for student affairs professionals across the state of Missouri. The purpose of the association is to promote the learning and development of students enrolled in institutions of post-secondary education through the ongoing professional development of college student affairs administrators and student development educators, in accord with the purposes of the American College Personnel Association.
