Northwest Missouri State University students and staff members in the University’s Residential Life division recently handed out their annual awards in recognition of accomplishments throughout the academic year as well as years of service.
The Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) at an April 16 banquet recognized five “of the year” winners. In addition, the organizations honored the hall governments at each of Northwest’s 10 residence halls, awarded pins to select students for their service throughout the school year and inducted its 2012-2013 officers.

The Department of Residential Life hosted a banquet April 15 to honor the years of service of its staff members, in addition to presenting its annual awards.
Residential Life handed out nine Star Awards, which are presented to one student staff member from each residence hall. Staff members nominate and vote to select the award winners. This year’s Star Award winners are:
Residential Life also presented its Dana M. Brown Distinguished Service Award to individuals who have exhibited outstanding leadership and service throughout the school year. The award is named in memory of a resident assistant in Milikan Hall who passed away in 2010. The winners of the award are:
