Members of Northwest Missouri State University’s Bearcat Peer Educators and Wellness Services invite the public to a free skin care lecture featuring dermatologist Dr. Molly B. Menser at 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, in Administration Building Room 304.
Menser is active in teaching medical students and fostering interest in the discipline of dermatology to those in primary care. She twice received the University of Kansas Student Voice award for excellence in clinical teaching. While completing her training in dermatology, she developed a passion for educating children, adolescents and adults on the prevention of skin cancer.
She is a board certified dermatologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Osteopathic Association.
Menser is a 2007 graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she was presented the President’s Award. She completed her internship at Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla., and her dermatologic training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
“The sun is always there, in both clear and cloudy days, so it is important for our students to remember to be proactive in protecting themselves from the UV rays,” said Christopher Triplett, peer education graduate assistant in Wellness Services.
