Northwest launches mobile website for eCompanion
![]() |
Users of Northwest Missouri State University’s course content management website, eCompanion, may now access their content via their mobile devices.
The mobile website is accessible on iPads, smart phones and most other mobile devices. It was developed by Pearson eCollege, which maintains Northwest’s eCompanion website.
Northwest’s Center for Information Technology in Education (CITE), which coordinated the mobile website’s implementation for the University, says the mobile version is a natural step as more people access websites on their phones. The mobile site allows students and faculty to conveniently access information connected to their courses.
“It’s exciting because they’ll be able to access threaded discussions, and post to those,” said Dr. Darla Runyon, assistant director of CITE. “They’ll be able to read them, catch announcements, look up their grade in the grade book. It will give students added flexibility.”
The mobile website is accessible by going to m.northwestonline.org.
