Northwest Missouri State University’s Board of Regents will meet in a regular session at 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in room 1323 of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, located at the north end of campus near the corner of West 16th Street and North College Drive.
The tentative meeting agenda is available at http://www.nwmissouri.edu/aboutus/regents/meetings/2011/Dec16.htm.
The tentative agenda also includes a vote to close part of the meeting pursuant to R.S. MO 610.021(1)(2)(3)(13). After any closed session, the board may, at its discretion, decide to go back into open session to discuss any old business or raise new items as individual members deem appropriate.
The day’s calendar at Northwest also includes the winter commencement ceremony, beginning at 1 p.m. in Bearcat Arena. Jeff Borchardt, Northwest alumnus and president and chief executive officer of the Kansas City Board of Trade, will address the University’s graduates and their families during the ceremony. The public may access a live video stream of the ceremony at www.nwmissouri.edu/live.
The Board of Regents develops policy and has responsibility for sound resource management of the University, and determines general, educational and financial policies.
