Presentation should last about 45 minutes, and topics should be connected to the principles of servant leadership. Past topics have included social justice, time management and meditation.
Interested presenters may submit topic ideas electronically by clicking here. The deadline to submit presentation topics is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11. Presenters will be notified by Friday, Jan. 13, whether their presentation idea is accepted.
Additionally, students are invited to attend an information session about BLT at noon Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the J.W. Jones Student Union. The session is an opportunity to ask questions about BLT. It will include a recap of last year’s BLT and a preview of this year’s event.
The third annual BLT, “It’s time to make it happen. Bring it!” will be Friday, Jan. 27, and Saturday, Jan. 28. BLT is a free conference aimed at students and organizational leaders that features keynote speakers and a variety of leadership workshops. Last year’s conference was attended by more than 130 people and featured nationally recognized speaker Elaine Penn as the conference's keynote.
