Room in Garrett-Strong Science Building evacuated
Emergency responders were dispatched about 8:10 a.m. to room 3370 in the Garrett-Strong Science Building on the Northwest Missouri State University campus in response to a report students had passed out in a general chemistry lab course.
Two of the students were transported to St. Francis Hospital and Health Services, and the third refused treatment.
Room 3370 in the science building was evacuated. A total of 22 students were in the lab, and no chemicals were open or being used. No gas odor was detected in the room.
