The public is invited to celebrate “the splendor of India” as Northwest Missouri State University’s Indian Student Association hosts its annual dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in the J.W. Jones Student Union Ballroom.
Tickets are $12 and may be purchased until Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first floor of the Student Union. Tickets also may be purchased during normal business hours at the Student Services Desk in the Administration Building or at the Intercultural International Center on the second floor of the Student Union.
Along with a meal of Indian food, the event features classical and contemporary Indian dance and acting performances. Door prizes and raffles also will be available.
The dinner caps Northwest’s 2011 International Education Week, a week-long initiative promoting international education through direct contact with people, languages and traditions of other cultures.
