A sinfully funny series with a twist on couples counseling will play out at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts when Northwest Missouri State University's 2011-12 Encore series presents “Late Nite Catechism 3: ‘Til Death Do Us Part.”
After teaching countless students about the saints, venial sins, limbo and more, Sister is now offering up hilarious lessons on The Sacrament of Marriage and the Last Rites, including her own wacky version of “The Newlywed Game.” Classroom participation is a must, so bring along your sweetie and your sense of humor for a session with the country’s feistiest couples counselor.
“We brought the original ‘Late Nite Catechism’ to campus two years ago and had a tremendous response, so when the opportunity presented itself to bring another show in the series, we thought it was a great idea,” Director of Campus Activities Angel McAdams Prescott said. “There was definitely some history there, and we thought it was a good time to bring a new version of the show with a new twist and new approach to campus.”
Orchestra tickets cost $25, and balcony tickets are $23. Children's tickets are $15 and $13. Northwest employees may purchase discounted orchestra tickets for $23. Admission is free for Northwest students with a Bearcat Card.
Tickets may be purchased at the Student Services Center, located on the first floor of the Administration Building, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling 660.562.1212 or online at http://www.nwmissouri.edu/campusactivities/tickets.htm.Northwest’s Encore series is sponsored by the Office of Campus Activities.
