Northwest Missouri State University's Student Senate is seeking applications for the University's next student regent.
Applications are available in the Student Senate office, located on the second floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union. Applications are due at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10
Additionally, three informational meetings are scheduled for students interested in learning more about the role. The first two meetings will be Tuesday, Sept. 27, and Tuesday, Oct. 4, immediately after Student Senate meetings in the Student Union Boardroom. The third meeting is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in Meeting Room A, located on the third floor of the Student Union.
The student regent serves on the Board of Regents, the University's nine-member governing body. The student regent, who is a non-voting member, is appointed by the governor and approved by the Missouri Senate. The student regent must be a Missouri resident, a university student with at least two years left as of January 1, 2012, and be in good standing with the University.
