Laber honored for outstanding service by art association
The board and membership of the Mid-America College Art Association (MACAA) recently honored Phil Laber, professor of art at Northwest Missouri State University, with the inaugural Award for Outstanding Service to the Mid-America College Art Association at the organization's St. Louis MACAA conference.
MACAA recognized Laber for 35 years of involvement in the organization. He has attended and presented at numerous conferences as well as participated in workshops and juried membership exhibitions. Laber served two terms as MACAA board president and now serves as past president/vice president for continuity.
Laber joined the Northwest faculty in 1976 and directs the photography and printmaking programs. Laber is an active artist and participated regularly in regional, national and international peer juried exhibitions.
