Dr. William Richardson, associate professor of music at Northwest Missouri State University, will present a faculty trumpet recital at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the campus's Charles Johnson Theater.
The performance is free and open to the public.
Sharing the stage with Richardson is pianist Dr. Charles Badami, instructor of music at Northwest. Featured works include "Concerto in D Major" by Giuseppe Torelli, "Sonata for Trumpet and Piano" by Kent Kennan and "Legende" by George Enescu, among others.
A member of the St. Joseph Symphony and the Maguire Street Brass, Richardson teaches trumpet, directs the Northwest jazz ensembles and has taught various music courses at the University since 1999.
Badami began teaching and performing at Northwest in 2008 and maintains a busy schedule as a solo pianist and collaborative artist.
