Scott Shields elected to statewide association
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Scott Shields, area coordinator in the Office of Residential Life at Northwest Missouri State University, was elected the 36th President of the Missouri College Personnel Association (MoCPA) for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Shields begins service to MoCPA this summer and is the fourth staff person from Northwest to hold the office.
Other Northwest staff members serving on the MoCPA Leadership Team are Rose Viau, secretary; Dr. Matt Baker, member-at-large; and Angel McAdams Prescott, 2011-12 conference chair. Northwest Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Jackie Elliott is past-president.
MoCPA is an association for student affairs professionals across the state of Missouri. The purpose of the association is to promote the learning and development of students enrolled in institutions of post-secondary education through the ongoing professional development of college student affairs administrators and student development educators, in accord with the purposes of the American College Personnel Association.
