Northwest hosts high school students for district agriculture contest

MARYVILLE, Mo. - More than 1,200 students from 53 Northwest Missouri high schools competed March 29-30 in Northwest District Career Development Events at Northwest Missouri State University.

Events took place on the Northwest campus, the R.T. Wright University Farm, the Maryville Community Center, the Maryville Community Building and the Ed Phillips Memorial Arena.

"The success of this huge undertaking is due to the excellent work of Northwest faculty and staff, district agriculture teachers, Northwest students and members of the Maryville community," said Rod Barr, program coordinator and instructor in Northwest's Department of Agriculture.
