MARYVILLE, Mo. - With the school year ending and students preparing to move out for the summer, Northwest Missouri State University's Residence Hall Association is inviting students to donate their unwanted items.
RHA is working in cooperation with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nodaway County to sponsor the Big Green Move Out program. Collection bins are stationed at every residence hall to collect students' unwanted belongings. Bins also are located behind Thompson-Ringold on campus and at Sutherlands, 1718 Main St., in Maryville.
Clothing, media and housewares are needed. Donated items may include hats, mittens, scarves, ties, nylons, socks and underwear; purses, wallets, fanny packs and bags; bed and bath towels, sheets and blankets; pillows, curtains and tablecloths; books and magazines; records, tapes, CDs, videos and DVDs; computer software; toys, games, puzzles and stuffed animals; jewelry, crafts, mugs and candles; pictures, frames, baskets and ornaments; pots, pans, utensils, china cups, vases and dishes; cutlery, glassware, silverware and stemware; small toasters, blenders, irons and mixers; radios, power tools and hand tools; stereos and speakers, CD, DVD and VCR players; bicycles, golf equipment and garden tools; table lamps, floor lamps and humidifiers; sports equipment, exercise equipment and skis.
RHA cannot accept televisions, computer monitors or computer towers.
