Dr. Stephen Town, professor of music at Northwest Missouri State University, served as an adjudicator for the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Large Ensemble State Music Festival April 13 in Overland Park, Kan., and April 14 in Topeka, Kan.
In Overland Park, he heard and evaluated 41 choral ensembles, among which were the large schools of the Blue Valley, Olathe, and Shawnee Mission school districts. In Topeka, there were 22 choral ensembles, which represented in the main the large schools of Lawrence and Topeka.
Town joined the Northwest faculty in 1986 and conducts the Tower Choir.
