Public invited to participate in research study for beginning runners
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University students and employees, as well as local residents, are invited to participate in a research study designed to have its participants running a 5K in 10 weeks.
Participants will be required to attend weekly meetings on Monday nights, March 28 through June 6. Participants must also have proof of a physical examination before joining the study.
Benefits to participating will include a free training T-shirt, free race registration for the Maryville Country Classic 5K race and free training and check-ins.
The pre-registration deadline is Friday, March 18. Participants may register by completing a pre-registration survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/NW5Kresearch.
The study, which is free for participants, is funded by a Northwest Applied Research Grant.
