Northwest celebrates Family and Consumer Sciences Week
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Northwest has announced its annual Family and Consumer Sciences Week, March 14-18. The theme for this year's celebration is "We Fit, We Connect, We Succeed."
A schedule of events is listed below. All events are open to the public except Monday's guest speaker and the Tuesday night banquet, which are for students and faculty within the family and consumer sciences department only.
Monday, March 14:
Image Consultant Stefanie Lee Thompson will present "Style and Substance: How to be an Influential Young Professional." 7 p.m., J.W. Jones Student Union Tower View Room.
Tuesday, March 15:
American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Grab-and-Go Breakfast. 8 to 10 a.m., third floor of the Administration Building.
Family and Consumer Sciences Banquet, 5 p.m. Student Union Ballroom.
Thursday, March 17:
Child and Family Studies students will distribute information about stress and stress reduction during Bobby Palooza. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Memorial Bell Tower.
Friday, March 18:
Free Fruit Friday hosted by the Northwest Student Dietetics Association. Morning, first floor of the Administration Building.
