MARYVILLE, Mo. - Painter David Garibaldi will perform his "Rhythm and Hue" art show at Northwest Missouri State University at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
The performance is sponsored by Student Activities Council. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
During his show, Garibaldi creates six-foot portraits of figures in pop culture, set to music, in a matter of minutes. "Rhythm and Hue" is a unique show that has been used by Fortune 500 companies and has raised thousands of dollars for various charities.
Garibaldi will also share the experiences of his personal struggles and triumphs that helped shape him into a world-renowned painter and performer. He uses the show as a platform to motivate students and employees of organizations.
After his performance, Garibaldi will donate one of his one-of-a-kind paintings to the winner of a raffle.
