MARYVILLE, Mo. - Dr. Andrew Cheetham will perform a trumpet recital at Northwest Missouri State University at 8 p.m., Friday, March 11, in the Charles Johnson Theater.
Cheetham also will present a trumpet master class at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 10, in the University's Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Cheetham, assistant professor of trumpet at Eastern Illinois University, has performed in and conducted various ensembles across the United States and Europe. A classical and jazz trumpeter, Cheetham has held the principal trumpet position in several symphonies and has experience as a band director. He was a trumpeter and ensemble leader in the United States Army, where he was often a featured trumpet soloist and performed in countless events across the country.
