MARYVILLE, Mo. - Harlan Cohen, a best-selling author, speaker and nationally syndicated advice columnist, will speak at Northwest Missouri State University at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, in Bearcat Arena.
Cohen's program "Dating in the Nude" will focus on healthy relationships and dating. The event is co-sponsored by the University's PanHellenic Council, Inter Fraternity Council and Wellness Center. The program is free and open to the public.
"Northwest students will take away motivation to improve their relationships and the tools to do so," said Jennifer Kennymore, health educator at the Wellness Center. "Those in attendance will learn the five steps to happiness in love and life, while listening to some live music."
Cohen is the author of five books including, "The Naked Roommate: And 107 Other Issues You Might Run Into in College," "The Naked Roommate's First Year Survival Workbook, Dad's Pregnant Too!" and his most recent title, "The Happiest Kid on Campus: A Parent's Guide to the Very Best College Experience."
His writing has been featured in The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune and USA Today. Cohen is a frequent guest on television and radio programs, and he recently appeared on the Today Show. He has spoken at more than 400 colleges across the United States and Canada.
