MARYVILLE, Mo. - More than 160 librarians from 23 states and Ontario, Canada visited Northwest Missouri State University Nov. 5 as the University hosted the 10th annual Brick and Click Libraries Symposium.
The one-day academic library conference offered 36 presentations covering a variety of topics including library marketing, employing technology to improve library services, library instruction and assessment of student learning, the effects of budget cuts on workflow, promotion of electronic resources, electronic submissions of theses and dissertations, and providing text reference service through a collaborative effort with other universities.
The Owens Library Brick and Click Team, which spearheads the conference included co-chairs Carolyn Johnson and Kathy Ferguson, managing editors of the proceedings Frank Baudino, Connie Ury, and Sarah Park, web page editors Lori Mardis and Vicki Wainscott, union and food coordinator Patricia Wyatt, technology coordinators Sarah Park and Hong Gyu Han and executive secretary Beverly Ruckman.
