MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University Tower Choir, under the direction of Dr. Stephen Town, will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1307 Holmes, Kansas City, Mo.
The free concert is open to the public. The program, titled "Songs of Valediction" will feature selections from composers including James Mulholland, Zdenek Lukas and Moses Hogan.
The concert is part of a one-day promotion and recruitment tour that also will include presentations and concerts at Raytown High School, Community of Christ Temple, Truman High School and Bishop Spencer Place.
Formed decades ago by Ralph E. Hartzell, the Tower Choir has a rich and varied history of outstanding choral performance and musical perfection. The ensemble regularly performs concerts for high schools, colleges, universities, churches, institutions and organizations throughout the country. In addition, the ensemble presents peer-reviewed and invitation concerts for regional and state conventions, meetings and symposia.
