Northwest to present Dickens' classic 'A Christmas Carol'

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Theatre Northwest will present Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" during three weekends at Northwest Missouri State University.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12-13, Nov. 19-20 and Dec. 3-4. Sunday matinee performances will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 14, Nov. 21 and Dec. 5. All performances will be in the Studio Theater at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets are $8 and can be purchased online at or at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Half-price tickets are available to groups of 12 or more by calling 660.562.1321 at least one week prior to the show.

Based on the novella by Charles Dickens and adapted by Jacqueline Goldfinger, "A Christmas Carol" follows Ebenezer Scrooge on his exhilarating and terrifying journey to discover the true meaning of Christmas.

The show is directed by Amanda Petefish-Schrag, assistant professor of theatre and artistic director.
