Children invited to Northwest residence halls for trick-or-treating

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Maryville children are invited to trick-or-treat in the residence halls at Northwest Missouri State University. Northwest students will hand out candy to children who visit the halls between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Visitors can pick up a campus map and a list of participating rooms at the front desk of any Northwest residence hall. The event has evolved into a long-standing tradition sponsored by Northwest's Residence Hall Association, said Meghan Davis, area coordinator for Residential Life at Northwest.

"It's a safe, warm place for kids to come to trick-or-treat, and the college students really love seeing the kids dressed up," Davis said. "It helps us get into the Halloween spirit."

Northwest students who are interested in participating must sign up at their residence hall's front desk by Oct. 22. Students must provide their own candy.

For more information contact Davis by e-mail at MEGHANH@NWMISSOURI.EDU or by phone at 660.562.1019.
