MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University's student-run radio station, KZLX, is hosting a "Rocktober" concert at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Raymond J. Courter College Park Pavilion, located on the Northwest campus.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature regional bands Rocker Lips and The Victory Lap.
Rocker Lips, of Kansas City, Mo., won the radio station's "Battle of the Bands" last spring. The band also filmed a music video recently with Northwest's student-run cable television station, KNWT, which will premiere at the concert.
Power pop band The Victory Lap consists of Northwest students and is known for its concerts throughout the region.
