Second Annual Sunburn Film Festival set for aspiring filmmakers
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest will host the Second Annual Sunburn Film Festival on Saturday, Sept. 4.
The festival is open to all Northwest students, Missouri Academy students and students in Maryville community schools. There is no fee to register.
Registration will occur with an informational meeting at 7:45 a.m. in Wells Hall Room 232. Teams should have at least one representative at the meeting to receive information. Additionally, five mystery requirements for each entry will be announced.
Films must be three minutes or less in length, contain the five secret elements and be entirely filmed and edited within the 24-hour time limit. "Beyond those rules it's all up to the imagination," said William Murphy, mass communication instructor and television and video engineer at Northwest.
Entries must be delivered on a DVD, tape or digitally to Wells Hall Room 232 before 8 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 5. Entries will be screened at 8 p.m. in Wells Halls 232.
