Northwest announces new director of strategic research

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State announces the hiring of Nate Blackford as Director of Strategic Research. In this capacity, Blackford will direct the Office of Institutional Research and lead University efforts to expand the use of organizational intelligence tools and reporting.

"I am very pleased to have Nate join the Bearcat family and know he will help us greatly as we move forward with our strategic planning initiatives," Northwest President Dr. John Jasinski said. Serving all organizational portfolios and reporting to the president, Jasinski added, "Nate has a proven track record of working with organizations to help them improve their use of information and research to drive ongoing excellence."

Blackford comes to Northwest from Service Management Group in Kansas City, Mo., a market research and consulting firm, where he was Director of Client Services. In this role, Nate was responsible for leading a team focused on delivering business insights to many of the best-known brands. Prior to that, Blackford spent eight years at Cerner Corporation in Kansas City, Mo., where he held various leadership positions in both Marketing and Consulting.

Blackford earned his bachelor's degree in business management in 1997 and his Master of Business Administration in 1999, both from Northwest. Nate and his wife, Andrea, have 2 young children, Connor and Chloe.
