MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends demonstrated their knack for "unique knowledge" at the recent Trivia Night, sponsored by the Maryville Alumni and Friends Chapter of the Northwest Alumni Association.
The April 24 event, which was open to the public, attracted seven eight-person teams at the Maryville Country Club and raised more than $1,000 for the Maryville Alumni and Friends Chapter Scholarship.
Members of the winning team were Bill and Jessica Loch, Barry and Claudia Beacom, Brock and Karen Pfost and Bob and Mary Bohlken, all of Maryville.
The evening's format consisted of eight sessions with 10 questions per session covering a variety of subjects. Prizes were awarded to first-place and last-place teams. In addition, door prizes were given away and raffles and contests were conducted throughout the evening.
Because of the event's success, the Maryville Chapter plans to sponsor another Trivia Night in the fall.
